Tenant information
at a glance
A stacking plan shows
a side view or “elevation” of a building,
usually an office tower. The names of the tenants
are shown floor by floor, with area occupied (sq.
ft.), and often color coded by expiration year of
the lease. It also shows vacancies, month-to-month
leases and utility areas.
Comprehensive
impression
A stacking plan is the graphic
that conveys the most comprehensive information
on an office building. It shows the general shape
of the building and how everything fits together,
including garages and rail access, elevator banks,
and varying widths of floors. This is why we often
make great efforts to create detailed stacking plans,
and even turning it into a building rendering (see
“Renderings”).
