Types of floor plans
Floor plans are essential in describing most real estate properties to prospective buyers, renters or to companies looking to lease space. For office properties, we usually show the columns, but not the cubicles. This makes the floor plans less cluttered. Floor plans are also crucial for residential properties, hotels, supermarkets and stores.

Redraw floor plans?
There is a great temptation to use simple black and white copies of floor plans. Even on high-end websites, we see poor quality scans of floor plans. (See “Web Graphics”).

What we recommend
Our position is that the higher the quality of the presentation, the more watchful we have to be for something spoiling the positive impression. If there is only one floor plan, like on a website, definitely redraw it. We will create high quality floor plans on tabs and in the front, and place additional black and white floor plans in an appendix.
